Jyotiraditya Scindia has been named by the BJP for one of the two Rajya Sabha seats from Madhya Pradesh due for elections later this month. Jyotiraditya Scindia, one of Rahul Gandhi's closest aides, joined the BJP today. He was welcomed into the party by BJP President JP Nadda. On joining the BJP, Mr Scindia said that the "Congress is no longer what it used to be, it is living in denial". He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for "welcoming him into their family".
