"I want to ask the Prime Minister, 'Why don't you talk about situation that is going on in Hyderabad? Do you want to suppress those people who are raising voices in support of Rohith'," asked Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula's brother. He, along with his mother, embraced Buddhism today to put an end to caste-based discrimination they had faced. Raja Vemula said his brother Rohith too "was willing to take Buddhism officially but he couldn't make it."
