Though the Congress says that it is a gameplan by both the BJP and the Samajwadi Party, the party has done little to rein in Digvijaya Singh who has publicly questioned the authenticity of Batla House encounter time and again. While the Samajwadi party has removed Kamal Faruqui from the post of national Secretary over his comment on Yasin Bhatkal, the party fell short of suspending or removing him from being a primary member.
