Former Indian opener Sunil Gavaskar feels that India's poor fielding was to blame for their loss to Sri Lanka. Gavaskar is of the opinion that lack of effort by the fielders resulted in Sri Lanka getting away at critical junctures. He also highlighted the need for bowlers to get the yorkers in the right place, and how the loss of wickets in the middle overs halted India's hopes of a big total. On Rohit Sharma, Gavaskar hoped he can get out of this bad patch and justify his talent. However, he is optimistic that India will come up trumps against Pakistan and seal a place in the final.
