The worst fears of Indian farmers now seem to be coming true. NDTV has learnt that the Indian government is all set to sign the contentious Doha agreement at the ministerial meet next month, even if marginal concessions are made. "It's just a face saving mechanism. Kamal Nath himself has said that if America cuts down on subsidies even by 1%, India will sign the deal," said Devender Sharma, Expert, Food and Agriculture Policy, UNCTAD.
