Attorney general of India G.E. Vahanvati has said that tariff of power utilities that sell electricity to more than one state can be regulated by India's power sector regulator Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). The opinion of the country's top legal officer offers a ray of hope to power generators like Tata Power, Reliance Power and Adani Power.
