The SEB restructuring package is expected to lead to positive developments across the power sector. Ashok Khurana, Director-General, Association of Power Producers says that the entire power sector will benefit with the improved financial health of SEBs. He adds that the next focus for the government is to push Coal India to improve coal output and also put the pool pricing mechanism into practice.
