On a day Prime Minister Modi launched a blistering attack on the Congress saying that remembering Emergency is meant "not just to criticise Congress for the sin of attacking the constitution, but to create awareness about its dangers", former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha has hit out at the Prime Minister. Speaking to NDTV, he said, "Indira Gandhi subverted the Constitution... The present Prime Minister has not exactly subverted the Constitution, he has subverted the institutions of democracy and created Emergency-like situations."
