The king of booze Vijay Mallya finds himself in a tight spot as Carlsberg and Heineken has acquired Scottish & Newcastle (S&N), Vijay Mallya's partner in UB, in a $15.4 billion deal. Scottish & Newcastle holds 37.5 per cent in United Breweries with Mallya holding another 37.5 per cent. There is a strong possibility of taking management control of Mallya's UB.
