SBI Chairman, Pratip Chaudhuri spoke about the government approval of Rs 7,900 crore capital infusion for SBI via preferential allotment of share basis. SBI will now issue fresh 4.12 crore shares which will increase the government’s shareholding from 59.4 per cent to 61.9 per cent.
