The diamond and jewellery manufacturer Gitanjali Gems Ltd on Monday announced the buyout of the Nakshatra brand from Diamond Trading Co. With domestic demand booming and export margins shrinking to 2 per cent for the industry the buyout will be critical. Gitanjali currently holds 33 per cent in the brand for which it paid Rs 50 crores three years ago.
