We look at Palestinian authors, who were recently in Delhi as a part of the 'Palestinian Writers' Colloquium', a unique exchange between writers from Palestine and India on memory, imagination and writing. The Palestinian authors, writing in Arabic, have in the past few years become accessible to audiences in India, with English translations. From Mourid Barghouti, a Palestinian in exile for almost 30 years, to his son, writer Tamim Barghouti, who through his works, uses the city as a metaphor, for the anguish of a people banished, exiled or simply restricted.
