Dr Anita Ramesh says the presence of antibodies does not give you immunity from Covid, though it provides you with some amount of protection. The antibodies vary from person to person, but the important point is that it protects from severe disease and hospitalisation, mortality and morbidity. The vaccine does not prevent infection, she said.
