Five more civilians are dead as violence continued in different parts of Haryana, particularly Rohtak and Jind. Protesters demanding reservation in jobs and education for the Jat community set fire to police vehicles, buses, hotels and a mall. The Army has deployed over 3,000 soldiers across all nine districts - six of them are under curfew. Despite a curfew and Army presence, protesters set a petrol pump on fire in Rohtak. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has appealed for calm but protesters say they won't relent till they're included in the 27 per cent Other Backward Caste or OBC quota.
