Earlier this week, the state of Rajasthan introduced a bill that proposes a tough new law to deal with incidents of mob killings. As per the bill, if the victim dies due to mob violence, people guilty of the crime will be given life sentences. Also, conspiracy to lynch will be treated as a crime equal to lynching itself.
