While women have to worry about their security every time they step out, they need to pay special attention to their safety when they are going out clubbing or even to crowded places. Pune's Deepa Parab started a group of women bouncers in 2016, who are not only taught how to protect other women but are trained to look after themselves too. With over 540 women trained so far, the Ranragini Women Bouncers' Group has become an institution that is leading the way in ensuring women's safety in a metropolitan city like Pune, among others.
