Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, a BJP ally, is likely to extend support to the man who is challenging Raghubar Das - Chief Minister of neighbouring Jharkhand - in the coming state elections. Mr Kumar's party, the Janata Dal United, has also indicated that he might personally campaign for Saryu Rai.
