Lockdown meant that Surendran lost out on most of his income. The umbrella maker's pre-monsoon season has hardly seen any bulk orders, since many places like schools etc are closed due to the lockdown.
With the arrival of monsoon and lockdown easing further - Surendran hopes that the rain will bring him good news. He is part of a page on Facebook called "Umbrella By Differently Abled-Kerala".
