It has been twenty years since the Kargil war. A war where 527 Indians were killed as the Indian Army fought to evict the Pakistani Army, which had made a deep incursion into North Kashmir. The war that followed was one of the most brutal in the history of mountain warfare and saw young Indian officers charge up impossible heights to take on Pak soldiers often in hand to hand fighting. This is the story of Captain Vijayant Thapar, a 22-year-old officer whose soldiers eventually captured the crucial Knoll area but not before the young Captain had paid with his life. When Captain Thapar went up those slopes, he knew he wasn't coming back.
