Rising Water Level In Yamuna Affects Delhi's Biggest Funeral Site

The rising water level in the Yamuna has now affected Delhi's biggest funeral site Nigambodh Ghat. Some sections of the ghat have been submerged under water. However, cremation rituals are still going on at the ghat.The water level in the Yamuna has gone beyond 206 metres while the danger mark is 205.3 metres. In the next 24 hours the water is expected to rise further. The Delhi government has said that nearly 7000 people have already been relocated to 1100 tents.
