A senior CPM leader in Kerala has said the party will even vote for bitter rival Congress to keep the BJP out in next year's general elections. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is the state secretary of the CPM and in a state that swings between the Left and the Congress every five years, the statement is seen as a signal of the Left's deviation from the traditional stand on the subject.
