Punjab records 67 per cent voter turnout

An estimated 65.1 percent votes were recorded in Tuesday's election in Punjab to choose a new legislature, the Election Commission has said. Chief Minister Amrinder Singh and Prakash Singh Badal of the main opposition Shiromani Akali Dal expressed confidence of winning the vote.
