Parkash Singh Badal, Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Punjab Chief Minister, has returned his Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award, to protest against the "betrayal of farmers" by the government. A group of top sportspersons and coaches from Punjab have also said that they will return their awards.
