Karnataka has put on hold all online classes for kindergarten and for classes 1 to 5. The state says online teaching was apparently affecting the mental health of young students. A committee will release guidelines for how much screen time is healthy but till then, online classes for younger children have been stopped. But many parents believe that this was a wrong move and that the classes were helping their children.
