Nuclear deal's race against time begins

The final lap of the Indo-US nuclear deal has begun. The Bush administration has asked the US Congress to pass the deal during the short 17-day session that begins on Tuesday. White House spokesperson Dana Perino has said that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her team would be working closely with members of Congress over the next few weeks to push the deal through.
