P Ramnath, chief executive officer of Sterlite Copper, says he is shocked by the violence that took place in Tuticorin in which a dozen protesters were shot dead by the police during anti-Sterlite protests, but the Sterlite plant has absolutely not violated any environmental laws. "It was proven in the National Green Tribunal that there was absolutely no violation whatsoever and it now only that we are now in shutdown that this problem has come up," he says.
