The Congress on Wednesday termed Assam's sacked Education Minister Ripun Borah's alleged "attempt" to influence the CBI probe against him in a murder case as "unfortunate" and said a "tainted" minister had no place in the government and the party. "It is an unfortunate incident and we condemn it," Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari told reporters in New Delhi, without naming the minister.
