NDTV Crew Attacked In Guwahati Amid Protest Against Citizenship Bill

An NDTV journalist was attacked on Wednesday by a mob in Guwahati who were among protesters opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill or CAB. He suffered severe bruises to his face and the rear windshield of the vehicle in which he was travelling was also smashed. Around 8 pm, while the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill was being debated in Rajya Sabha, Northeast reporter Ratnadip Choudhury, along with his cameraperson was on his way to the office from the state secretariat.A few kilometers from the secretariat, a mob of some 10-15 protestors stopped their car. Mr Choudhury got off the vehicle to pacify the mob that wanted to break the vehicle and threatened to set it on fire.
