The Congress party's decision to not have national level alliances is causing heartburn among UPA allies who are looking to contest in states other than their strongholds. The NCP has now threatened to go alone if the Congress does not share seats, the SP and the RJD have already opposed this but Congress party for the moment appears in no mood to relent.
