Indian-origin Dev Shah won the prestigious 2023 Scripps National Spelling Bee, taking away a $50,000 cash prize by correctly spelling the 11-letter word "psammophile".
Speaking to NDTV, the 14-year-old said his grandmother is his biggest inspiration. He recounted the moment when the winner was announced. He also talked about his India connect and what he wants to become in the future.
