Mumbai's glitterati may not see action at the Mahalaxmi Race Course this winter. Racing has been postponed indefinitely as over a thousand thoroughbreds have been severely hit by the equine flu. The flu has left the horses weak and unable to run in the races initially scheduled to start on November 15. They are now being treated at stud farms in Pune.
