Maruti-Agva Healthcare Tie-Up For Ventilators Amid Pandemic

In response to a call from the government, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) has used its capabilities to enable the start-up Agva Healthcare to scale up ventilator production amid the coronavirus pandemic. The first ventilator was made on the April 11, within 10 days of MSIL joining hands with Agva. The cumulative production has crossed 1,000 units. MSIL is likely to be the first enterprise to manufacture and deliver ventilators to the government and expect to complete supplies by the end of May. Maruti chairman RC Bhargava spoke to NDTV on the urgent need for ventilators and masks in hospitals and containment zones.
