Manipur university student leaders, teachers in police custody; internet services suspended

At Manipur University in the state capital Imphal, a three-month siege has turned into a war between police and the students. Over 80 people have been arrested, including six teachers, over the last two days. While six teachers and seven students leaders have been sent to 15 days judicial custody the government has suspended mobile internet services to stop spread of rumours over the crackdown.
