The Delhi police have arrested the man seen in this video shooting in the deli violence that broke out on Saturday evening in Jahangir Puree. His name is so new he had fired at. Crowds are during the clashes that took place. He has just been arrested. Earlier today, a police team had gone to talk to his family members because he was missing. Since this video came out on social media, they had gone to talk to his family and they say that instead they were pelted with stones. So there was some more tension in the Jahangir Puree area as a result of that. But so no, the man that they were looking for the man seen in the blue kurta in this video is just coming into the frame there years their ears are seen firing into the crowd. Our he has just been arrested by the police. The police have also said that the procession that was taken out in the evening which led to these communal clashes that night that procession had not taken any permission from the police and therefore they have registered a case in that matter. And one of the accused they say has joined the investigation. We're going to try and find out what that means. My colleague Nita Sharma joining us for more on that developing storey Nita. First of all you know, tell us more about the arrest of this man, Son, You What? What do we know about who he was shooting at? What was happening on this video? Navy? When this violence was going on, This man was, you know, caught on camera. And that is why his picture has been going viral, that he was shooting at the crowd. That is what the police now claims. But now exactly who was he shooting at? That is the part of the probe. But now Delhi police claims that he has been arrested and now they will try to find out more from him as to from where he got the weapon. The Delhi police has acknowledged that they, you know, have already recovered three local Curtis and five sports. When asked them from which community that they recovered these weapons. They clarified that from people who were participating in the procession which did not have permission from to go from this area that is the Masjid where you know, event. The procession was the third procession which was going on, which did not have permission with when it reached their it increased their loudspeakers volume people who were offering Nam as prayers. They said Cason zero is offering a press who you should lower down your volume, the loudspeaker volume. But they did not, you know, agree to that which led to the A, which yet to the tension and which triggered off violence. The police, you know, acted swiftly. They're segregated the crowd, they asked the Hindu guys in do people, community people to go on the right side because this is the Hindu community dominated area on the left side, this Muslim dominated area so there as the Muslims to go there. But then some stone started, you know, flying from the rooftops. That is when the violence has again, you know, escalated which led to nine people getting injured. Eight of them are police officials. That is what Mr Rakesh Astana cleans. But interestingly, Mr Astana claims that although when I spoke to a cleric from the multi it, he said that the people who were holding out the third procession they were trying to put a flag on the multi it. But Mr Rakesh Astana, the police commissioner, categorically denies that. He says there is no such incident which has been reported to Delhi police So far. Now the entire area has been barricaded. Different level of barricades have been put in all four roads to segregate the crowd. As of now, the crime branch is investigating. 14 teams are right now on the spot in investigating various aspects related to the Nita. A couple of important things, one is that you're saying that Rakesh Astana, the Delhi police commissioner, says that despite videos that have been doing the rounds on social media, there was no attempt to hoist a saffron flag or flags at the Masjid behind you. He saying that that didn't happen absolute and absolutely, absolutely. He categorically said that because that was a question which was raised in the press conference which he addressed in the afternoon. He categorically said that no attempt was made to put a flag on the masjid when that on the on the procession itself, the one that didn't have permission the evening one which they said didn't have permission, are they acknowledging that the procession was carrying that they were carrying arms, that they were carrying swords, etc. Absolutely absolutely. The Delhi police in is now confirming they said there was no permission. There, in fact had only given an application to the local police station, saying that we will be taking out procession. The only two processions had give were given required permission, but the third, the party was not given any sort of permission and in fact the two juveniles who have also been, you know, kind of in police custody. As of now, they are also being investigated whether the the weapons which have been recovered were recovered from them or the procession because police has now confirmed that weapons were found on both the parties, people who were in the position and people who were opposing the procession. Also, how many number of weapons that is a part of in any quick last question. We had a press statement from the Delhi police a couple of hours ago saying that an for had been filed against members of the VHP, the Bajrang Dal and others for this procession for not taking permission and that one VHP member had been arrested the same police has now put out a different statement just now, removing any reference to the VHP and saying not claiming any arrest saying that an accused has joined the investigation. What explains this change of stand water? Let's say because see, the case has been the second case has been under section 188 1 88. And in that section you cannot arrest a person. You can only ask a person to join in investigation. So the person has been asked to join investigation. He belongs tour right supported group only Hindu Wahey. Any group? I think so. That is what I was being told. But you know, since he has just showing the investigations, if something is more found on him or more a elaborate investigations are done and some that something comes up, then more sections would be added and maybe then he would be arrested already. Strange strange, though, that the Delhi police had these two different versions about this particular incident. But anyway, they are dealing also with a tough situation on the ground.
