The death of four-year-old Shobha, who lived in Vasai just outside Mumbai, has raised questions over Maharashtra's claims of becoming a polio free state. Shobha who was detected with the virus in July died in her native village in Bihar last month. Her death has come as a setback to the Maharashtra government's plans of declaring itself polio free.
