The CEO of the Maharashtra housing board has resigned after a protracted battle with the state government. Only two days ago, the senior IAS officer was removed from his post as the head of a project where he had taken on the powerful builders lobby. The Chief Minister transferred Chandrashekhar after he blocked 120 slum schemes being developed by builders on 350 acres of land belonging to the state housing board.
