While India has succeeded in getting the waiver from the Nuclear Suppliers Group, back home the Government's struggle continues. The Left and the Opposition want a debate on the nuclear issue in Parliament right away and have now asked the President to intervene and order a session. President Pratibha Patil is considering the request from the Centre to start the next Parliament session from October 17.
