Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, on Saturday, defended the police force against criticism from political parties and people and sought to know whether the period of rule of Lord Ram was free from crime. The DMK patriarch cited the episode involving the kidnap of Lord Ram's wife Sita by Ravana to drive home his point.
