Indo-Pak effort rescues 14 people

A rare collaborative effort by the Indian Coast Guard and the Pakistan Maritime Agency saw the rescue of 14 people aboard the stricken vessel Fatahasmat. The vessel belonging to a Salaya-based shipping company was headed for Mumbai from Sharjah. It was stranded 80 nautical miles off the Karachi coast. Among those rescued, two were Slovakians and 12 were Indians.
