Indian-origin scientist Ramesh Raskar has been awarded $500,000, or Rs 3.3 crore - one of the world's largest cash awards for inventions - for his path-breaking work on an ultra-fast imaging camera that can see around corners, aid eyecare solutions and can read closed books. The Lemelson-MIT prize, given by the School of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), honours U.S. inventors working on science and technology to improve the world. The scientist, who is also Associate Professor at MIT, speaks to NDTV and says that he plans to use his prize money to fund other innovators.
