Historians glorified the Mughals as if they ruled the entire country, said Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday at an event marking the 400th birth anniversary of Lachit Barphukan, a commander of Ahom Kingdom. "Our historians portrayed Aurangzeb as a hero who was never defeated and ruled the entire country without any competition, but that wasn't case," he said.
