The Supreme Court has approved the central government's proposal to use colour-coded stickers in Delhi for classifying vehicles on the basis of fuel used. The scheme, which is based on a model used in Paris, entails using two types of stickers to distinguish between vehicles that run on petrol, CNG and diesel. The vehicles that run on petrol and CNG will have light blue stickers, while the diesel vehicles will have orange stickers.
