The December 31 deadline for linking Aadhaar to bank accounts has been extended indefinitely by the government ahead of tomorrow's hearing of the matter in the Supreme Court. Sources said those opening new accounts will have to submit Aadhaar details within 6 months, the date to link the Unique Identification number to existing accounts will be announced later.
