Mumbai is gearing up for yet another massive vaccination exercise with at least 1.90 lakh people eligible for the booster shots that will be administered from today. Out of 1.90 lakh, 89,000 are healthcare workers, while 83,000 are frontline staff. The BMC says by January end, another 2.33 lakh will be able to take the booster shot and the civic body has made preparations to vaccinate as many people as it can. More than 350 vaccination centres will be used for the purpose and both pre-registered and walk-in beneficiaries will be allowed.
