The opposition united today to face off with the government over the triple talaq bill in the Rajya Sabha, stalling a debate as it insisted that a resolution to send it to a parliamentary committee for review be voted on. Amid sloganeering and shouts as the ruling BJP objected to the manner in which the resolution was moved, the house was adjourned for the day.
