24 hours after he quit Mayawati's party to join the BJP, Babu Singh Kushwaha is being raided by the CBI, in what's being seen as a direct consequence of his new political affiliation. An FIR has also been filed against him for his alleged role in the misdirection of thousands of crores that were to be used for medi-care in rural areas. The Congress has struck with brutal force, taunting the BJP for allowing into its fold a man stained by scandal. Referring to senior BJP leader LK Advani's recent nationwide tour against corruption, the Congress said the BJP stands exposed.
