British library shuts down in Kerala

The British Council Library in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram is a mecca for book lovers. Established in 1964 the library today has nearly 30,000 books and about 7,000 members from all age groups and all walks of life. Its sudden announcement that it will shut down in March next year has taken its loyal members by surprise.
