The BJP-Shiv Sena combine is likely to win 225 seats in Maharashtra, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said today. Polling began across 288 constituencies in Maharashtra this morning for the state elections. "Opposition has totally vanished. Corruption allegations have emerged against the opposition parties. People are happy in Maharashtra and India... and this kind of cleaning was much required," he said. In Maharashtra, the BJP is contesting on 150 seats, and the Shiv Sena is contesting on 124 seats. The rest of the 288 seats are for smaller allies.
