The lockdown at the faculty of Sanskrit Vidya Dharm Vijnan at the prestigious Banaras Hindu University over the appointment of a Muslim professor to teach sanskrit literature has entered its thirteenth day. Students have refused to attend classes despite the university administration backing professor Firoze Khan. A professor at the university has now claimed that the faculty at the university wing is involved in instigating the protests and has questioned why classes are not being restarted.
