Left parties, which called the hike of Rs 5 in petrol prices and Rs 3 in diesel suicidal, have launched a week-long protest and demanded a rollback. The agitation includes rail and road blockades across the country. But the protests are likely to have maximum impact on the Left-ruled states of West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura.
